The Authors of the Ethnographic Diaries comprise ten women and two men including Lebanese, Syrian, and Egyptian nationals. The writers range in age between their early 20s and late 40s and were residents of various cities in Lebanon between November 2020 and February 2021, the time period of the project Ethnographic Diaries: Capturing the Everyday in Crisis. Members of the group wrote in their language of choice, whether in English or standard or colloquial Arabic. The task of the writers was to observe and document everyday life around them.
